1. What Brave Powers is
Brave Powers is an offline habit app for children aged 8–17, used under a parent's or guardian's supervision. It helps kids complete daily steps chosen by their parent, and celebrates real effort with streaks, certificates and a growing world. The app works entirely on your device.
2. Who this agreement is with
Brave Powers is owned and operated by Mathew Walker, Australia ("we", "us"). By using the app, a parent or guardian accepts these terms on behalf of their family. Children use Brave Powers on family devices under a parent's supervision — each child's data stays on that child's own device. The parent PIN protects all settings, approvals and purchases.
3. Subscriptions and the free trial
- Brave Powers offers a 7-day free trial showing the whole adventure. After the trial, the app locks unless a parent subscribes.
- Two plans: Individual (one child profile on a device) and Family (up to six child profiles per device). Family Sharing or Google Play's family library lets your family's subscription cover every phone in the house — no accounts, no sign-ups. Each child's data stays on their own device, always.
- Subscriptions are sold and managed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds follow the store's own rules. We never see your payment details.
- Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled in your store account settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Nothing earned is ever deleted. If the trial or subscription ends, the app pauses. Your child's certificates, badges and history stay safely preserved. Subscribe again and everything returns exactly as it was.
3.1 Family coverage
A Family subscription can be shared across a household using Apple's Family Sharing or Google Play's family library. Coverage across devices is provided by those store systems, not by Brave Powers servers — Brave Powers itself holds no family membership data.
4. What we promise
- The app runs 100% offline: no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and nothing your family does in the app is transmitted by us. See bravepowers.com/privacy.
- All family data stays on your own device(s). Backups are files you create and control.
- If your subscription ends, a child's earned achievements stay. Your data is never deleted on downgrade.
5. What we don't promise
The app supports good habits; it cannot guarantee any outcome (grades, behaviour, wellbeing) — that work belongs to families, and if in doubt, a professional. We also can't promise the app works on every device ever made, or that device failures, lost phones or deleted app data won't cause data loss — which is why we provide the encrypted backup feature and encourage regular backups.
6. Fair use
- Don't copy, resell, or distribute the app or its content.
- Don't attempt to bypass the parent PIN, the trial lock, or payment.
- You're responsible for your device(s), your children's use, and the backups you choose to keep.
7. Australian consumer law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee under Australian Consumer Law, which applies to our services. Where required, we honour those guarantees.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Brave Powers is provided "as is" and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before any claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this URL with a new effective date. Because the app is offline, material changes are announced before any app update carrying them.
